Off to Vancouver today, then to Seoul tomorrow to start a
work project. I’ve been a bit
reluctant to tell people where I’m going because everyone seems to have a
reaction to this destination (including the credit card guy who asked me if
this was a good idea!).
Unfortunately, my week off has not been as relaxing as I was
anticipating being that I was on North Korea watch everyday with something new
seeming to come up all the time.
After a long discussion with my boss yesterday, we decided it’s still a
go. Of course I have been briefed
on Plan A and Plan B in the event of something happening, but we both feel that
it is highly unlikely I will have to use either of these plans. It helped to get an email from the guy
that I will be working with as well as a student who just returned to Korea
telling me that nothing is going on and no one there is really worried.
So, I’m going to look forward to this trip (besides the work
part of it . . . . . . that part I’m not looking forward to!) The last time I was in Korea was 15
years ago when I lived there and I’m totally pumped about having Korean food
everyday!! Here’s to an interesting
adventure!
Here's a crappy scanned photo taken in Korea the last time I was there - I forgot about life before digital cameras!
By the way B-Rod unfortunately can't make it on this
trip, but he will be adding posts of his own Utah motorbike adventure in the
next little while. One travel
blog, two reports – AWESOME!
